Yodle launches Organic to optimize web traffic and leads for small businesses

Shortly after announcing a $10 million fourth round of financing and alluding to a new product launch, Yodle, a company that helps businesses advertise online, today launched Yodle Organic, a new product to help local businesses increase web traffic and search engine optimization (SEO).
Yodle specializes in helping local  businesses in several major cities, including Boston, New York and San Francisco to display local advertising on search pages. The company’s new product, Yodle Organic, looks to not only help local businesses advertise online, but optimize traffic and leads through search engine optimization tactics, an area where local businesses probably lack knowledge.  Combining the products could offer a local business a more competitive search results page placement given that they can afford it. The new product will cost less than $500 a month, according to a company announcement.
The new product lends several phases to “driving traffic and building your online brand,” including time with a marketing consultant to lay out key words, competitive differentiators and understand business goals. In addition, customers will have access to building an actual website (if one doesn’t already exist), publicize through links, video content and other web content as well as submitting to directories, including Google and Yahoo. To help track the website, Yodle Organic offers a monitoring dashboard to lend visibility into website traffic and to generate reports.
There is no shortage of companies trying to help local businesses build their online presence. For example, ClickFuel offers a set of internet based tools, including website design and building, search engine optimization and social media campaigns. Most recently, ClickFuel partnered with Boostability, an enterprise SEO firm, to leverage its technology to enhance SEO delivery to small and mid size businesses.
The company, based in New York City, claims over 7,000 customers and targets 25 cities. It will be interesting to see if the company’s current customer base is interested in the service or if the more complete online marketing package attracts a new local  business crowd.
