Roundup: iBooks come to the App Store, Gears of War 3 announced next week?

Here’s the latest action:
iBooks now available in the App Store — And the iPad’s the e-book reading software comes with a free copy of Winnie the Pooh.
Google creates an iPad version of Gmail — Apparently the iPad version takes advantage of the bigger screen (compared to the iPhone) by splitting into two columns. The company’s blog post highlights other Google services that will be included in the iPad, such as YouTube and Maps.
Gears of War 3 may be unveiled on Jimmy Fallon — The late-night talk show host says Epic Games’ Cliff Blezsinski will reveal his new game when the designer is a guest on Thursday. There’s no official word on what that game is, but Gears of War 3, the latest game in the popular franchise, seems likely.
4INFO tells government it’s okay to approve AdMob deal — As part of its investigation of Google’s acquisition of mobile advertising startup AdMob, the Federal Trade Commission asked competitors to weigh-in. Zaw Thet, chief executive of mobile answer service 4INFO, wrote a letter saying he has “no concerns about my ability to compete effectively after the transaction closes.”
Whole Foods: We’re fighting back against Facebook scam — The scam uses the offer of Whole Foods gift cards to install malware on victims’ computers.
Sony Online’s Free Realms passes 10M players — The kid-focused online multiplayer game launched in April 2009, so it’s also kicking off an in-game birthday celebration.
