On the sitcom Modern Family, the plot revolved around husband Phil Dunphy’s birthday wish for an iPad. His birthday, conveniently, turns out to be April 3. After his wife Claire oversleeps instead of getting in line for an iPad at the local Apple Store in Los Angeles, she begs her three children to score one from the Internet. The seven-year-old prevails, as seen in the clip below.
