Flick founder lands $5M for new game startup

Tiny Speck is a game company founded by Stewart Butterfield, one of the cofounders of photo-sharing site Flickr. Tiny Speck has only put out one game so far, Glitch, which VentureBeat writer David Pierce described as “walking the line between casual social games, and intense, multiplayer, life-consuming games.”
GigaOm reported this morning that the company has raised $5M in a Series A round led by Accel Partners and joined by Andreessen Horowitz.
San Francisco-based Tiny Speck was started by Butterfield and three members of the Flickr team, and had previously raised $1.5 million in seed funding from Accel, Andreessen and angel Jeff Weiner.
