DEMO-VentureBeat meetup in New York Tuesday

Come join us at a meetup at the Ainsworth bar in New York City Tuesday evening for drinks, conversation and networking with local technology entrepreneurs and investors.
I’m bringing VentureBeat and DEMO to town as part of our tour of the country to find entrepreneurs with the most disruptive technologies (guys like Jess Lee and Ted Sargent, right, of Invisage Technologies, who unveiled technology at last month’s DEMO conference that makes phone images five times more sensitive). By visiting New York and other cities, we’re looking to invite the next bunch of entrepreneurs to launch later this year at the DEMO conference in Silicon Valley.
The cocktails at the Ainsworth will be from 9-11pm, directly after the end of the NY Tech Meetup, which takes place 7-9pm at the FIT – Haft Auditorium. The Ainsworth is at 122 W 26th, between 6th & 7th. We’re buying drinks for first 100 people. We’re co-hosting this after-hours session with New Work City, a community workspace company in Manhattan.
Come by if you’re an investor, an entrepreneur, or anyone else interested in innovation, and you want to connect with other folks in the community. Make sure you register here.
With DEMO Spring only a week behind us, we’re already actively considering applications as we build the class of demonstrators for DEMO Fall. Apply to launch here. Registration is open, too, for attendees. We’re offering a bargain price of only $975 (about a third of the regular price) for people signing up by April 15.
