VentureBeat is hiring! We seek an ad ops manager, and director of advertising sales

Manager, Advertising Operations and Sponsor Support
This job is for the a super organizer. In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage advertising inventory and coordinate ad programs with customers and external ad network partners. Duties will include maintaining inventory reports for the website, RSS, and email newsletters, managing google ad manager and analytics dashboard, generating reports for clients on advertising performance (impressions, page views, clicks, etc) tracking contracts and insertion orders and acting as internal administrator for CRM system. As a key member of the sales and business development team, you will also assist us to brainstorm new advertising and sponsorship ideas, help to evaluate new sources of site revenue via external partners and interface with our technical team to implement new programs. Finally, you’ll support VentureBeat events to develop and execute email marketing programs, creating sales collateral and coordinating sponsorship programs. This position requires a highly organized, detail oriented creative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of various office related programs required (excel, power point, etc) and experience with adobe or other graphics programs and wordpress a plus. BA/BS preferred with 2 years work experience in an online advertising-related environment with working knowledge of advertising operations and/or marketing.
Director of Advertising & Sponsorship Sales
Due to our recent growth, we are looking for an advertising sales pro to help take out site sponsorship and event sales to the next level. In this role, you’ll work directly with some of the leading technology and B to B companies to build customized online and event advertising and sponsorship programs. A minimum of 3 years prior advertising/sponsorship sales experience including face-to-face sales experience is required along with a demonstrated track record of closing sales and meeting quotas. This position is ideal for someone who can work independently in a fast paced, start-up environment. Prior experience in technology and B to B is ad sales is preferred. And, as customers and prospects will be located throughout the US, some travel may be required. Compensation will be based on a base salary plus a generous commission program.
